CAF/RCMP/Federal Public Service 2SLGBTQIA+ Purge Survivors
Mental Health Services for 2SLGBTQIA+ Veterans and their Families!
The Purge
Between the 1950s and mid 1990s, serving LGBTQ members were systemically discriminated against resulting in loss of service and identity for many members working within the Canadian Armed Forces, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Federal Public Service. For years, these members were silenced and oppressed resulting in severe mental and social issues for these generations of victims.
